Project Management
The Lake and Peninsula Borough works to identify community-driven capital projects to enhance the lives of residents, visitors and the commercial fishing industry. By working with a community or several community, the Borough can add project management, financial capacity and access a broad array of funding sources in order to move a project from an idea to reality.
Past projects include an Alaska Marine Highway System dock, harbor, renewable energy projects, barge landings and other larger projects that tend to have an impact beyond a single community. Current projects include hydroelectric power to support the Chgnik fleet, improvements in the dock uplands in Chignik and a barge landing on Lake Iliamna to serve all user groups.
