Public Hearing for Ordinance 26-01 Amending the School Endowment Fund

The Lake and Peninsula Borough Assembly will hold a public hearing to solicit comments on the above-referenced ordinance on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. during a regular Assembly via Zoom and teleconference. Interested members of the public are encouraged to participate.

This ordinance makes some necessary adjustments to increase the limit on the amount the school district can allocate from the school endowment fund if the required amount exceeds the interest income, as specified in LPB Code 6.71.
The Lake and Peninsula School District can withdraw from this fund up to the Maximum Local Contribution amount minus the annual Borough Allocation amount if approved by concurrent resolutions from both the Lake and Peninsula Borough Assembly and the Lake and Peninsula School Board.
