Applications Open for 2021 Chignik Salmon Disaster Assistance


The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) is announcing that online applications for the 2021 Chignik salmon disaster assistance are now open for eligible permit holders and vessel crew members. Permit holders will have until November 24, 2025 to submit applications, while crew members will have until December 23, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.

Permit Holders:

Notifications containing the unique application IDs required to apply were mailed to eligible S01L permit holders on Monday, August 18. Applicants are asked to allow time for USPS delivery before inquiring about their notification. If a notification is not received by September 8, 2025, permit holders should contact the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC) at AKFishDisaster@psmfc.org.
