Lake and Peninsula School District


The Borough was originally created in 1989 to give citizens local control over their children's education. The foresight and vision of leaders like Frank Hill, Glen R. Alsworth, Sr., David Wilder, and Wassie Balluta, Sr. allowed the Borough to remain intact and gave our tiny villages a voice in their own future. School remains the primary purpose for the borough, with the majority of the budget devoted to funding LPSD.
